Asexual reproduction involves only one parent, so no male gamete is required.
Asexual reproduction produces genetically identical offspring, so each calf has the same DNA as the prize‑winning cow.
Because the offspring are clones, the desirable traits of the cow are preserved and passed on to all of them.
In contrast, sexual reproduction creates genetic variation, meaning some calves may not inherit the prize‑winning characteristics, which asexual reproduction avoids.
