## Mark scheme (4 marks)

1. Nylon is made by condensation polymerisation
2. Nylon is strong / has high tensile strength (so can withstand pulling forces in a rope)
3. Nylon is flexible / does not snap or crack when bent
4. Nylon is resistant to wear / durable / long-lasting (so the rope does not wear out quickly)
