> AQA GCSE Physics (8463) — 4.1.3 National and global energy resources · Explain · 4 marks

## Mark scheme (4 marks)

1. Fossil fuels produce a large energy output per kilogram of fuel / fossil fuels release a large amount of energy
2. Renewable energy resources cannot provide as large an amount of energy as easily / renewable resources have a lower power output
3. Renewable energy resources are not always reliable / are intermittent
4. Fossil fuels provide a continuous / consistent supply of energy on demand
