## Mark scheme (5 marks)

1. Greater amplitude means greater energy transferred by the wave
2. Amplitude is the maximum displacement of the wave from its undisturbed (equilibrium) position
3. Higher frequency means greater energy transferred by the wave
4. Frequency is the number of waves passing a given point per second
5. As frequency increases, wavelength decreases (for a constant wave speed), linking the two wave properties
