# Describe the structural adaptations of an insect-pollinated flower that increase the chance of pollination.

## Mark scheme (4 marks)

1. Large and/or brightly coloured petals to attract insects
2. Petals are scented and/or nectar is produced to attract insects
3. Sticky stigma to catch pollen from insects
4. Anthers are positioned inside the flower and firmly attached so they brush against visiting insects, transferring pollen onto them
