1. Glucose is a sugar / monosaccharide used in respiration
2. Glucose molecules are joined together to form starch
3. Starch is used as a storage molecule (in plants)
4. Starch is insoluble, making it suitable for storage
5. Starch can be broken down back into glucose when energy is needed
