## Mark scheme (4 marks)

1. Carbon dioxide produced by burning fossil fuels (e.g. driving / consuming electricity / combustion of coal, oil or gas)
2. Sulfur dioxide produced by burning fossil fuels that contain sulfur impurities
3. Methane produced by raising livestock (cows) / decay of organic waste in landfill sites
4. Carbon particulates (soot) / carbon monoxide produced by incomplete combustion of fossil fuels
