## Mark scheme (4 marks)

1. Statement 1 is incorrect because distance is a scalar quantity (not a vector) — the unit metres is correct but the classification is wrong.
2. Statement 2 is correct because velocity is a vector quantity with both magnitude and direction, and its SI unit is m/s.
3. Statement 3 is incorrect because acceleration is a vector quantity (not a scalar) — the unit m/s² is correct but the classification is wrong.
4. Statement 4 is correct because momentum is the product of mass and velocity and its unit is kg m/s.
