## Mark scheme (4 marks)

1. Raising livestock (cattle/cows) releases methane (CH₄) into the atmosphere
2. Decay of organic waste in landfill sites releases methane (CH₄) into the atmosphere
3. Reducing emissions can be more expensive / requires investment that farmers may not afford
4. Reducing livestock numbers or changing waste management takes away land / reduces the farm's productivity / food production would decrease
